  • Enrolled in the HDHP-Low or HDHP-High plan medical plan?

What is a Qualifying Life Event?
Werfen’s U.S. benefits plan year starts on January 1st and ends on December 31st.

Benefit elections cannot be changed until the next U.S. Open Enrollment period unless a qualifying life event impacts your eligibility mid-year, and the change is permitted under the plan terms.

Eligible qualifying life events include:
  • Marriage or divorce
  • Change in employment, or employment status for you, your spouse, or your dependent child
  • Birth, adoption, or death

Does your mid-year life event qualify?

Keep in Mind
Benefit changes must be consistent with your qualifying life event. Changes must be submitted through ADP within 30 days of the event.

Documentation supporting the change will be required (i.e., marriage certificates, federal tax returns, birth certificates, adoption certificates, court order/QMCSO, etc.)
